Chief Rage Architect
About Carlos Gil — founder of Ragevertising.
Carlos Gil is the Chief Rage Architect and creator of Ragevertising.
His obsession with earned attention started after being laid off from banking at 25 in 2008. With no advertising budget, he built an online business through social media, community, live Pink Slip Parties, and people willing to bet on an underdog.
Then he went corporate.
Working inside major brands showed him the other side of social media: endless content calendars, approval cycles, polished creative, paid amplification — and content audiences often had little reason to care about.
In 2020, while building Outlaw Masks, Carlos discovered something different. Content that gave people a reason to take sides repeatedly generated massive organic conversations.
He spent the next several years testing that behavior across consumer experiences, restaurants, retail, technology, pricing, tipping, customer service, and culture. Some posts generated millions of organic views.
The product wasn't always the content.
The argument was.
Today, Carlos has turned those experiments into the Ragevertising methodology: using truth, tension, participation, and community to help brands earn attention instead of simply buying it. He is also the bestselling author of The End of Marketing and a global keynote speaker.
But around here, there's a simpler title: Chief Rage Architect
